After a year of impact, September marks the return of Hiro Foundation’s Cohort III Enrollment Program.
At Hiro Foundation, we believe that talent should never be limited by circumstance. Across Rwanda, many bright and ambitious young people face challenges that threaten their educational journey, including a lack of school materials, school feeding support, mentorship opportunities, and other essential resources needed for academic success.
Over the past year, our Foundation has worked to identify, support, and inspire vulnerable yet talented learners, helping them remain focused on their education and future aspirations. Through the dedication of our supporters, volunteers, and community partners, dozens of beneficiaries have already experienced meaningful transformation.
Today, we are proud to announce the opening of Cohort III Enrollment, a new opportunity for deserving young people to become part of the Hiro Foundation family.
Education is more than attending school.
It is a pathway to dignity, opportunity, leadership, and long-term community development.
Hiro Foundation was established to support talented young people facing educational and social challenges by providing:
- Educational support
- Volunteerism and Inspiration for a brighter future
- Mentorship, motivation and guidance
- Personal development opportunities
- Talent nurturing initiatives
- Community engagement programs
Our mission is simple:
To ensure that no talented young person is left behind because of circumstances beyond their control.
To ensure that support reaches students with both exceptional potential and genuine need, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Academic Performance
Must be among the top five (5) academic performers in their class based on the most recent school term and/or the two preceding academic terms.
Must demonstrate consistent academic commitment and discipline.
Educational Level
Must be currently enrolled in Upper Primary Education.
Financial Need
Must be evidently facing financial challenges that negatively affect their education, including but not limited to:
Lack of school materials and learning resources;
Difficulty accessing school meals;
- Inadequate school uniforms or clothing;
Challenges related to school fees or other educational expenses.
Sponsorship Status
Must not be receiving educational support, sponsorship, or scholarship assistance from any other organization, institution, or individual sponsor.
Personal Commitment
Must demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, grow, and continue their education despite challenges.
Must exhibit good character, discipline, and respect within their school and community.
Verification Requirement
All information provided during the application process may be subject to verification by Hiro Foundation and partnering schools before final selection.
The Foundation welcomes applications from students and young people whose determination and potential deserve an opportunity to grow.
Over the past year, Hiro Foundation has continued to expand its reach and strengthen its commitment to young beneficiaries.
The Foundation has already supported more than 50 young beneficiaries, with many receiving direct educational and developmental assistance designed to help them remain focused on their future.
Cohort III represents another important step toward building a generation of educated, empowered, and responsible young leaders.
