Hiro Foundation
Is a non-Government and non-profit organization based in Rwanda, dedicated to empowering high performing students who face financial, health, or social barriers. We believe that talent exists everywhere but opportunity doesn’t. Our mission is to bridge that gap.
Our Mission
We ensure uplift the next generation of Rwanda’s leaders by providing educational resources, mentoring, school meals, and healthcare support-ensuring that every bright student has a chance to shine.

What We Do
We run two core program areas:
School Based Programs
This program supports learners facing academic and social challenges by providing targeted assistance and essential resources. Through a holistic, child-centered approach, it addresses both learning needs and the surrounding environment to help every learner stay in school and thrive.
Health-Based Programs
The Health-Based Program supports learners by addressing health issues that interfere with their education. Through basic medical care, hygiene support, and early intervention during critical conditions, we help children remain healthy, present, and ready to learn.
Access to School Supplies Initiative
Provides learning materials such as notebooks, uniforms, and stationery to under resourced students.
School Feeding Support Initiative
Ensures students receive nutritious meals to stay focused and healthy during school hours.
Child-Friendly Schools
Promotes school environments that prioritize children’s rights, safety, and engagement
School fees & scholarship support
Helps learners stay in school by covering fees and providing scholarships.
Hygiene and health safety education
Teaches children basic hygiene and health practices to stay safe and healthy.
Basic healthcare access for students in need
Supports basic health needs like check-ups, first aid, and advocacy for students in need.

Founding Vision
HIRO Foundation was established in response to the growing need for educational support among underprivileged youth. Our founders recognized that many bright students faced barriers that hindered their academic potential. With a commitment to creating opportunities, our journey began with a small group of passionate individuals dedicated to making a difference.
Growth and Development
Over the years, HIRO Foundation has grown from a local initiative to a recognized nonprofit organization. Our programs have expanded to include mentorship, scholarships, and educational workshops, reaching hundreds of students each year. This growth reflects our unwavering commitment to empowering young learners and fostering their success.
